Rachel A. Krause (B.S., Biology and Zoology, UW-Madison) is currently employed at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) as a Research Specialist where she is both Wisconsin Brain Donor Program Coordinator and ADRC Laboratory Technician. She facilitates the registration of interested donors and carries out the collection of these brain donations. She also manages the preparation, storage, and distribution of biological specimens collected for the center’s longitudinal Clinical Core Study.

She decided to pursue the M.S. in Biotechnology program to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to become valuable in the field of technology transfer. She looks forward to learning how intellectual property interacts with strategic management to transform novel discoveries into realized products. Her long term goal is to advise her company on the prospects of emerging and innovative solutions.
