Grace C. Christensen (B.S., Plant Pathology, UW-Madison) is a Research Specialist with the Endelman Group at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She currently conducts research for the Potato Breeding Program including genetic marker-based variety selection, viral screening of seed potatoes, tissue culture maintenance of parent material, and antiviral cleanup of advanced breeding lines. She believes the MS in Biotechnology program will help her develop more business managerial skills as well as explore the legal and regulatory aspects of biotechnology.

Her goal after graduation is to find a career in research or project management with a major agriscience company in the field of food crop enhancement. She would ultimately like to go on to teach someday and hopes the biotech program will play a key part in achieving her goals.
