Carol Rasmussen

The Class of 2010

Carol Rasmussen (B.S., Psychology, UC-Riverside) is a Senior Instrumentation Specialist in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the School of Medicine and Public Health at UW-Madison. Having worked in the field of biomedical research for nearly 30 years, she enjoys the innovation and creative problem solving involved in the work of a laboratory.

Having collaborated with researchers on a global scale, and also with pharmaceutical companies interested in the development of new therapeutic compounds, she recognizes the value of the M.S. in Biotechnology to her future goals, which include roles in project management and the translation of research out of academic labs.
