Bryan Husk is the chief information technology staff for the Master of Science in Biotechnology Program. He maintains the program's Web servers, Web sites, databases and classroom technologies. He also provides support to faculty and students by administering the program's online courses and developing all online course content.

As the degree program grows, Bryan anticipates an expanded use of technology. Future projects include automating the application process, continuing to develop engaging course content, and supporting the strategic goals of the Master of Science in Biotechnology program.

Prior to joining the Masters in Biotech program, Bryan was a member of University Relations at Western Michigan University where he served as the University Web Manager. He was a leader in defining the visual identity and information organization for the WMU homepage and many of its key Web sites. Bridging the gap between the news and communications office and the central information technology group, Bryan led initiatives at WMU that included e-commerce, online learning, streaming media and Web usability.

Bryan has a Master of Arts in Psychology from Western Michigan Univeristy and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Bryan moved to Madison, Wisconsin in July, 2002. He appreciates Madison's vibrant culture and enjoys such outdoor activities as soccer, hiking and biking in the summer, and kiteboarding and snowboarding in the winter. When not gazing into computer screens, Bryan can be found playing the many musical instruments at his home recording studio, including the alto, tenor and soprano saxophones, keyboards, guitar and bass guitar. He plays saxophone with the Clyde Stubblefield Band, studies with Roscoe Mitchell and occassionally joins fellow saxophonist Bob Corbit on stage.
