Anthony Clemento is the founding member of A. Clemento & Associates LLC. The Company provides consulting services to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Services include strategic support for the selection of viable development candidates and for their chemical, physical, and biological characterization. Mr. Clemento has an Adjunct Professor appointment from the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the Master of Science in Biotechnology Program, serves on the Board of Directors of ConjuGon, is a member of the External Advisory Board for SIGA Technologies, and served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Quintessence Biosciences and the Covance Clinical Research Unit Institutional Review Board.
Before founding A. Clemento & Associates LLC, Mr. Clemento was Vice President, Scientific and Regulatory Consulting, Covance Consulting Services. In this capacity, Mr. Clemento assisted clients to design drug development programs and regulatory strategies for new active substances. Prior to joining Covance, Mr. Clemento was a Vice President at Seragen and was responsible for regulatory and clinical affairs and quality. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility in related disciplines at Bristol-Myers, Schering-Plough, and Centocor.
Mr. Clemento has worked within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry for thirty-eight years and has more than thirty years of global drug development experience. Mr. Clemento is experienced in nonclinical research, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, quality control, clinical development, and project management, and has been involved in the development and registration of pharmaceutical products spanning all major therapeutic categories.
