WiscMail Forwarding

Problem: Students' personal e-mail addresses regularly change. How do we find an easy way to e-mail each other?

Solution: Everyone configure their "Your_NetID@wisc.edu" account to forward to whatever personal e-mail account they prefer to use. Once everyone has done this, we will simply send messages to each other's WiscMail addresses which will be remain active and the same throughout your affiliation with the university.

How to Configure Mail Forwarding
  • Log in the NetID Account Modication authentication page. Use your NetID username and password.
      )
  • Once you've logged in, scroll to the bottom of the page to MAIL FORWARDING.

  • Carefully type the e-mail address where you want your messages to be forwarded to in the box labeled "Forward Address:" Be certain you type the e-mail address correctly!

  • Click the "Modify Account" button when you are sure the e-mail address has been typed correctly. You should next see a page confirming the settings change.

Once configured, messages sent to your "Your_NetID@wisc.edu" account will be automatically forwarded to whatever e-mail address you set.
